Zipickle is a pickleball tournament management service operated by Pike-Q LLC ("Pike-Q," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information through the Zipickle website and related tournament communication services.
1. Information we collect
We may process organizer account information (such as name, email address, and login credentials handled through our authentication provider), tournament information, and player details entered by organizers, such as names, phone numbers, event participation, and scheduling information. We may also collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide tournament management tools, manage accounts, organize player and match information, send authorized tournament-related communications, respond to support requests, maintain security, and meet applicable legal obligations.
3. Tournament organizers and player information
Independent tournament organizers may provide player information to Zipickle. Organizers are responsible for collecting information lawfully and obtaining appropriate permission before using it to contact players. Zipickle processes this information to provide the services requested by organizers.
4. SMS messages and verbal consent
Tournament organizers may ask players verbally whether they agree to receive tournament-related text messages through Zipickle. Consent must be affirmative and voluntary, and organizers should record when and how consent was given. Messages may include scheduling changes, match updates, and tournament announcements. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Players can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance, or contact support@zipickle.com. Consent to SMS is not required to use services unrelated to SMS.
5. SMS data sharing
We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers that deliver messages or operate Zipickle on our behalf, subject to appropriate restrictions. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
6. Service providers
We may use hosting, database, authentication, and messaging providers to operate Zipickle. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services to us, subject to applicable agreements and legal requirements.
7. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and requests
To ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information, email support@zipickle.com. We may need to verify your request and coordinate with the relevant tournament organizer. SMS recipients may opt out of future messages by replying STOP.
9. Children
Zipickle is intended for tournament organizers. If organizers enter information about minors, they are responsible for obtaining any permissions required by applicable law. Please contact us if you believe information about a child was provided improperly.
